The Sandoval County Detention Center no longer allows in-person or face-to-face visitations with inmates. Visitations are now conducted using a video visitation system, which allows visitations from a remote device or a video console in the detention center. Remote visits are conducted with a computer or mobile device from any location. There is a $9.99 fee for this service, and inmates are not limited to a number of visits. Detention center video console visits are conducted from a kiosk located at the main entrance front desk. Kiosks are available Mondays to Fridays, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., and there is no charge. Detainees are limited to two visits per week, and only one adult (over 18 years) and one minor (under 18 years) are allowed during visitation. All visits must be scheduled online and at least 24 hours in advance.

The NMDH Vital Records Office provides death certificates for events that occurred in New Mexico.
