Union County is situated in New Mexico. In 2020, Union County had a population of 4,079, based upon a local census. In Union County, the current seat is Clayton.

It was formed in 1894.

It was named “Union” because the citizens were united in their desire for the creation of a new county out of three existing New Mexico counties.

Union County records their criminal activity in the form of criminal records. These records cover murders, rapes, burglaries, arson, motor vehicle theft, assaults, and crimes of a sexual nature. In Union County and across the whole state of New Mexico, police officers are necessary to keep an up-to-date list of all records of criminals. NOTE - There are various rules that need to be followed in order for Union County requesters to obtain records. The office is open between 8:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. PST from Monday to Friday.
