Hidalgo County Information

Hidalgo County is situated in New Mexico. In 2020, Hidalgo County had a population of 4,178, based upon a local census. In Hidalgo County, the current seat is Lordsburg.

It was formed in 1920.

It was named for the town north of Mexico City where the Treaty of Guadalupe Hidalgo was signed, which in turn was named for Miguel Hidalgo y Costilla, the priest who is known as the "Father of Mexican Independence.".

Hidalgo County Criminal Records

Hidalgo County records their criminal activity in the form of criminal records. These records cover murders, rapes, burglaries, arson, motor vehicle theft, assaults, and crimes of a sexual nature. In Hidalgo County and across the whole state of New Mexico, police officers are necessary to keep an up-to-date list of all records of criminals. In Hidalgo County, citizens can use a search tool in order to get access to the records. Any individual on release or in jail can be searched for using the tool. Hidalgo County sex offender register is updated constantly. These consist of any offender living, attending school, working, or imprisoned in the Hidalgo County area. This register can be accessed by all Hidalgo County citizens.

Residents living in Hidalgo County can use the tool to search for any offenders in the area. A given zip code acts as the focal point of a resident's search. All offenders within those coordinates will then be revealed to the Hidalgo County resident. People may also use the tools to look up individual known offenders. Hidalgo County Public Records

NOTE - There are various rules that need to be followed in order for Hidalgo County requesters to obtain records. Hidalgo County requester must obtain records between 9:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m. PST from Monday to Friday. In Hidalgo County, some form of photo ID is needed to get records. Photo ID could be a driver's license or state ID. A requester must also put their public record requests in writing in Hidalgo County.
